Orders on Hold After Sales Channel Setup: What Does It Mean?

When integrating a sales channel with Neuro, you may encounter orders marked as On Hold. This guide explains what this status means, why it occurs, and how you can manage or disable it through your channel settings.

About the "On Hold" Status

On-hold status means these orders will not be processed. By default, we switch on the setting “Auto Hold Aged Orders” when a sales channel is created on Neuro. You can switch that setting off by going into the channel settings.

When this setting is on, it marks the sync status of orders that have been in existence for 24 hours or more from the order creation date.

  1. Access your account and go to the left side of the screen. Click the "Stores" button.

  2. Click on the pencil icon next to the store your channel is in.

  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the channel you'd like to check.

  4. Switch off the “Auto Hold Aged Orders” setting under Order Management.

Understanding the "On Hold" Status

The On Hold status indicates that certain orders will not be processed automatically. By default, Neuro enables the setting Auto Hold Aged Orders when a new sales channel is created. This ensures that orders older than 24 hours from their creation date do not sync until manually reviewed.

If you prefer orders to sync immediately without this restriction, you can disable the setting within your channel configuration.

How to Disable "Auto Hold Aged Orders"

To turn off this setting and allow all orders to sync automatically, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Your Sales Channel Settings

  • Log in to your Neuro account.

  • In the left-hand navigation menu, select Stores.

2. Access the Sales Channel Configuration

  • Locate the store where your sales channel is configured.

  • Click the pencil icon next to the store name to edit its settings.

  • Find the sales channel you want to modify and click the pencil icon next to it.

3. Disable the Auto Hold Feature

  • Scroll down to the Order Management section.

  • Locate the Auto Hold Aged Orders setting.

  • Toggle it off to disable the automatic hold on orders older than 24 hours.

  • Click Save Changes to apply your settings.
