What is Magento

Magento is an open-source e-commerce platform that provides businesses with a flexible and customisable solution for creating and managing online stores. It offers many features, including product catalogue management, order processing, payment and shipping options, and customer management. Magento is known for its scalability and flexibility, allowing businesses to create custom solutions and add functionality. It also provides a range of customisation options for website design and layout, making it possible for companies to create unique and visually appealing online stores. Magento is supported by a large community of developers and users, providing businesses access to a wealth of resources and support. Overall, Magento is a comprehensive and flexible e-commerce solution that provides businesses with the tools to create and manage successful online stores.

During the channel installation process, there are two ways to log in:

  1. By providing your email and password, the same credentials used to access your Magento Dashboard.

  2. Select the "Use Access Token" option and enter the access token obtained from your Magento store.

If you log in using the first method, you can skip the following section and proceed directly to the "Installing the Magento 2 Sales Channel" section.

Obtaining your API Keys from Magento V2

  1. From the left side menu, navigate to "Systems > Integrations."

  2. Click the "Add New Integration" button on the Integrations page.

  3. Enter a name for the integration and your current admin password. You can also fill out the other non-mandatory fields if needed.

  4. Click on the "API" tab and set "Resource Access" to "All".

  5. Next, click the Save drop-down button and select "Save & Activate".

  6. A prompt will appear asking for your permission to allow the integration. Click on the "Allow" button to proceed.

  7. Once you have allowed the integration, you will see an Access Token key. You can copy this key and click on "Done".

Installing the Magento 2 Sales Channel

To add the Magento 2 sales channel to your Neuro account, kindly adhere to the following steps:

  1. Access your account and go to the left side of the screen. Click the "Stores" button.

  2. If you already have a store, click "View Store" on the right side of the screen to access it.

  3. To edit an existing store, click the edit button on the right side. If you need to create a new store, click "+ ADD" above, name it, and use the edit button to make changes.

  4. Click "+ ADD" in the channels section to begin the installation.

  5. A window will appear in the centre of the screen. Choose "Magento 2" from the available channels list.

  6. Provide the required information:

    • Channel Name: In the field provided, you can enter any name. However, it is recommended to choose a name that has meaning to you, such as "Magento 2," as it will serve as an apparent reference for the source of the order in the future.

    • Magento Domain URL: In this field, input the URL you use to access your Magento platform, also known as the domain.

    • Username, Password, Access Token: Fill in these fields depending on your preferred connection method.

  7. After filling out the fields, customise other options, then click "Save" in the bottom-right corner.

  8. You'll be back in the recently installed channel. Activate it at the top of the screen using the "Is Active" button.

Congratulations! You've successfully set up your Magento 2 sales channel on Neuro.

You can now sell products on Magento 2 and manage orders from your Neuro dashboard.
