What is Xero
Xero is a cloud-based accounting software platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses, offering tools for accounting, invoicing, payroll, and expense tracking.
With a user-friendly interface and accessibility from anywhere with an internet connection, Xero aims to simplify complex accounting processes. It supports the customisation of professional invoices and online payments and integrates with various third-party apps for tailored functionality.
Xero also features multi-currency support strong security measures, and facilitates collaboration among team members and accountants.
Regular updates and customer support contribute to its popularity as a modern and efficient accounting solution for businesses worldwide.

Signing Up to Xero
To integrate your Xero account channel with any of our platforms, you first need to establish an Xero account. If you don't have one yet, follow these steps to sign up:
Begin by visiting the Xero sign-up page at https://www.xero.com/signup/ and completing the sign-up form. Click the "Next: Confirmation" button to proceed.
On the second page, you'll be prompted to confirm your account through the email address you provided.
Access your email inbox, locate the message from Xero, and click the "Yes, it's me - let's get started" button to confirm your account.
Set a password for your Xero account and then click the "Activate your account" button.
Provide relevant business information in the fields provided and click on the "Start trial" button.
Congratulations! Your Xero account setup is now complete, and you will be automatically redirected to the dashboard, where you can begin utilising the platform for your business needs. If you already have a Xero account, proceed to the next section to learn how to obtain your credentials for integration.

Obtaining the Credentials from Xero
To acquire the necessary credentials and establish a Xero accounting channel on our platforms, follow the steps outlined below:
Navigate to the Xero Developer website using this link: https://developer.xero.com/ and select the "Log in" button located in the top right corner of the page.
After successfully logging in, click on the "New App" button.
Choose the "Web App" option and complete the required fields as follows. Once filled out, acknowledge your agreement with the terms and conditions by ticking the corresponding box and proceed to click the "Create app" button:
App Name: Specify the name for this accounting integration.
Company or Application URL: Enter the Neuro URL in this field as follows:
http://app.heyneuro.io/Redirect URL: Input the following link as the Redirect URL: https://app.heyneuro.io/authorization/xero
Access the "Configuration" section from the menu on the left-hand side.
Select "Generate a secret" to create the token.
Congratulations! You now possess both the "Client ID" and "Client Secret." Proceed to set up a Xero connection through our platforms using these credentials.

Installing Xero on Neuro
Navigate to the "Stores" page by selecting the "Stores" button in the left-hand menu.
You can edit your store details by clicking the pen icon on the right side below the "Actions" section. For a comprehensive understanding of store functionalities, consult our dedicated documentation page, available on our Stores Page.
Access the "Accounting Channel" tab at the screen's top.
Add an accounting channel by clicking the "+ Add" button on the accounting channel page.
Choose "Xero" from the list of accounting channels.
Provide the necessary details as outlined below and click "Save":
Channel Name: Specify the name for this integration.
Account Nominal Code: For customers using our Billing API, obtain this number through the Billing API. You can disregard this field if you are not a Billing API customer.
Client ID and Client Secret: Input the obtained Xero developer account credentials into their respective fields.
Add Products to Xero: Enable this option to send system-created products to Xero.
Create Nonexistent Products: Record products in created invoices as the main product if not available on Xero.
Congratulations! Your channel is now successfully connected. Click "Continue" to return to Neuro.
Activate the Xero channel by toggling the switch in the "Is Active" section at the top of the page; ensure it is turned on for proper functionality, as deactivation will render it inactive.
